outside fix by autotelic We have decided to take time out to stand back and re-evaluate our exploration of the brutal unfairness of life as so many people are just not exposed to the struggle and just havent realised how far outside of the cultural comfort and safety zones we are here. As there is a convergence of other media delivering the basic hometruths about the future of life on this planet we have decided to proceed with a slightly different format that hasnt quite evolved into a clear style yet. We are also planning to work on another important project Thanks you for your patience

The G8 negotiations apparently led to some vague idea that something needed to be done to address global warming. Exactly what remains a bit of a mystery.

No social security Burnt into memory I always seek hypervigilantly Living reactively Neurotoxicity Day or night The world's a fright It's do or die Plain fight or flight Biologically There has to be a better way to be Than the disordered personality Suicidal ideationary Neurotoxicity Is killing me I cry I rage I'll die At some stage With no guarantee of finality

how are the playstation and wii generation going to cut it against earlier generations who grew up reading books, having piano lessons or ripping off cars for real? one businessman said love not leisure activity was the key to happiness and success and another high powered working mom said there was too much focus on hot housing kids and she'd been appalled by mom's pushing their kids into 'focussed ' activities to suit themselves and competing over stuff like which kid took the most healthy lunch pail to school.

Human beings have a great need to believe in progress and up until the credit crunch and food crisis kicked in recently it must have been very easy not to mention reassuring to see this age as one of relentless progress and growth. As economists liken the current state of the global economy to the great depression of the 1930's some people still cling to their blind faith in progress but economic instability rarely occurs without dangerous political instability and the sudden escalation of conflict in the disputed breakaway South Osettia region in Georgia is a case in point. Two days ago one superpower was calling for a global truce to mark its hosting of the Olympics , yesterday the tanks and forces of another , the Russian Federation, rolled into South Osettia and its war planes struck deep into pro-western Georgia sparking a potential international crisis at a time when the US , already struggling to maintain its top dog position as a superpower , is stretched to breaking point defending its own strategic interests . With global markets in chaos and China and India awakening there is going to be a lot of jockeying for power , the rise of the rest is going to have a lot of unforseen consequences , there is no good reason to expect progress to be one of them.

..or should that read trauma dating under development? Whatever , I've been unimpressed with the results of our' Can Developmental Trauma Be Fixed ' poll on the front page and not exactly bowled over with the impoverished responses to my Craigslist personal ad ( no Priscilla with God , I dont want to read any more of your dreary love poetry ) so we are moving on to plan C - if I cant evolve and the other animals on Craigslist are stuck in low brow stimulus response mode or simply posting pics of their genitalia I am going into the Evolution business to evolve the perfect creature of my own. I created this guy in Spore , fleshed him out with a personality , some nifty dance moves and regal Autotelic colours and I'm going to nurture him through his developmental paces - boy is he going to get some nurturing - and then I'm going to set him loose on Craigslist to find the perfect partner and , eh, kill anyone who gets in his way. Oh sure I know what you are thinking, that's a bit harsh. Well let me tell you do you think we were put on this planet to stand around looking timid and almost grateful as the bigger animals pulled up in their convertibles and said ' Hey there short fella, do you mind if I just fuck your mate? I'll throw in 5 bucks if you watch the car " No Sir, Life is Brutally Unfair and if you cant Evolve, mimic Trotsky take out the competition.
