We were formed out of csmic dirt  and  brutalised in Eden

Thrust into our fear of the dark

Flung out naked screaming into life
With weak bones
Sulphuric acid as blood
And fingers shaped with our broken teeth

Terrorised by our own heartbeats
We clawed at our chests to fling back bleeding life

Suffocated in breath
And cowered in mortal fear of aliveness
Eventually we stumbled to our feet

And  roared

Beating at our chests and spitting hatred

We turned on the weaker 'other'

Intent on killing

To perpetuate the brutality of creation

We certainly seem to excel at violence and destruction and I can relate to the
brutality of being wrenched into existence and I definitely empathise with the
feral of this world.

what you see is what you get with the feral...

The feral get such a bad rap.
I appreciate the feral because they are so
intuituve about maintaining boundaries at all times.
Sure, you can say that
they're not the most adaptable lot, but I've never met a feral creature that was
an energy vampire.

nobody wants to deal with the excessive demands of others, feral or not, I
think everyone has had a taste of the sulphuric acid syndrome, BUT, it all comes
back to adaptability, most people, even those in completely dire situations do
find a way to adapt to the burden of being alive, it is a skill to tell yourself
lies that everything is ok down here in the hell realm. Look around, most
people have mastered the great disconnect, except for you guys. It can be done
though, and hey, at least you guys aren't all bummed out that God doesn't
care.

" the feral .. are so

yes, feral creatures cant survive without boundaries, they require
safety and structure in everything they do There is no cure for the feral, they
are almost another species who find living amongst us toxic

Getting on in life in the straightforward materially successful way certainly
does require one to be an adept and efficient juggler but i also agree with
redstarfist, sociology classes should have more to say about the feral, i think
the education system and other social institutions could also benefit from
looking at ways to better interact with feral people be they kids or adults, as
i think they have a unique contribution to make too.

you may be interested to know that i just googled feral people and didnt get
much, googling feral children returns lots of hits for the famous few cases of
kids raised by or alledgedly raised by animals but there does seem to be very
little research in this area and it cant be just a question of the term feral
being misapplied here as its in usage within the culture to broadly describe
what we are discussing here.

so why not use feral in meta tags for blogs?
bjorn   |2008-04-11 19:30:59
wikipedia documents interesting usage of feral specific to Australia that has
feral used

1. as perjorative term almost identical to 'trailer trash'

2. to
describe subcultural post punk squatter/environmentalist fringe group equivalent
to UK/US urban 'Travellers' or hardcore 'New Agers'.

I'll post link in a bit
as i think we can /should contribute to that wiki

you're right Devon, we're not all bummed out that God doesn't care....and the
master of puppeteers can't be anything but grateful for that.
