In the gilded age of Capitalism powerful and ruthless robber barons built and controlled vast empires from the opulence and splendour of their Park Avenue apartments , and boy were they eager to let everyone know about it , but in todays neutured corporate and sterile politically correct environment the captains of commerce and industry and impresarios of the entertainment world are a much more caring and meeker lot , or at least they would have us believe that they are, more likely to represent themselves as misunderstood victims than admit raving down the phone ' You fucking bitch I'll make sure you never work in this town again '.
