leviathan

no doubt about it
they were ambushed on the data trail
en route to another domain

they should have moved around more
they knew they were probably being followed
but not expertly targeted and tracked

they had no idea - why would they?

that they were being secretly watched, read, filmed,

GPS'd from their handheld devices

RFID'd through their purchases and credit card data

and voice recognitioned by cell phone
the Coverment, that invariably bad mix of corporate and state
followed every withdrawal
of these digital junkies
with face recognition enabled street cameras

unblinking eyes

infrared at night

and slowly without anyone much noticing

the gleaners captured their souls

and breathed life into their digital golems
which sleepwalked off out into the world as them

to make dumb transactions

and do the bidding of Coverment and mammon

they were suckered

they didnt realise that thay were being cloned

if only they'd kept moving

you have captured what's really happening, seems a lot of people are immune to
it cause they want their 15 minutes of myspace fame, but I think it's much
better to not exist.

There's a lot of talk by Coverment about gathering more and more data for
predictive purposes, to better refine and target social policy and business
services but essentially the population is being modelled and top downly shaped
online and off, and although I'd hang back from saying we're going to see social
network pages transformed into death lists there is going to be a heavy price to
pay for betraying our own confidentiality , privacy and rights one day because
our Governments have become less not more open and accountable about what they
are doing while increasingly using new tech and info we've volunteered or
they've wrought from us to aquire more and more power and social control.

The human condition is somewhat over romanticised , the natural state of man is
one of fearfulness and paranoia, of people fearing every one else and the
demons that lurk in the shadows of our minds and prey upon us in the dark of
night.

We seem to have been hard wired to be fearful .

This subject pains me as the gleaning is becoming more and more fucking invasive
. The more joined up the world becomes , the more those who dont quite fit in
will find themselves marginalised .Its like tagging feral animals, its just
making life even more unpleasant. It feels like the counting before the cull.
