 I wonder if Raymond Chandler would have led a happier life if he'd focused on the divine comedy instead of pulp fiction. Bacall would have made a good Beatrice.

I dont usually come over all girlish but I just love that outfit. Maybe I'm
showing my age. Anyway regarding Chandler and The Divine Comedy , Philip
Marlowe just narrates the torments of Hell with a raw modern vision .
