Why dont you play your own stuff anymore man ? Sheila asked him

He took his time to respond absent mindedly hitting a few keys for effect 

'The imagination thrives in solitude' he said

'but existential loneliness doesnt exactly lend itself to vision. ' 

what about the truth man' Shelia blurted out angrilly

Truth is I get paid to play other people's tunes the blind guy said

And you know what, I'm grateful they've done all the work for me

Sheila shook her head 

She missed the old days  

When her ideals weighed less heavilly on her  

Just play something I can boogie to she said

And he did

that night the big ideas may have been all danced out

but she was still the best mover on the floor

and i guess a little inspired too for all that
