we are all as a friend of a friend put it
desperately seeking that one last great fuck
believing its out there somewhere
and that we are due it
and that it'll materialise to fuck us senseless
sooner or later
and let us fuck all our pain and angst away
unfortunately the atomic clock is loudly ticking above the bed
and its the corrosive particles and free radicals
from the birth of the universe
that are more likely to be kissing and carressing our burning skin
as all matter expands outwards in time
and we shrivel and contract like dead starflowers
sapped of our juices and beauty
for the universe has no compassion
it just has a purpose
our lives have pitiful little purpose
beyond the reproductive mechanics
which genetically trigger our desire to get laid
in a desperate bid to evade extinction.
we come screaming and open and expose ourselves to Creation
but our ecstatic moans will never drown out the background hum of the universe
even at the double penetration of death
