A 'New Scientist' feature 'Surviving in a Warmer World' ( Gaia Vince , NS ,
20th february 2009) discusses the catastrophic environmental consequences if
the planet warms by 4C this century and the radical new order that will be
necessary to manage them but is there any evidence that human beings are capable
of managing a problem of this scale?
