Glad you noticed that we\'d wreaked economic chaos to create a new mew world order more in keeping with this site\'s cynical in house style. We\'re already working on an end of the world special edition but still have a few collumn inches to fill so if social satire is your thing blow your stack here man, just remember to wipe up after yourself. OK?

Yes. Yes, I am a hardcore Conservative , I\'ve never denied that but give me a break guys, it\'s never been a personal thing with me. The break up with Lucy has hit me hard though - she\'s no longer answering my calls - and being proved so wrong about what I said about the economy on here by real world events has kinda humbled me. I\'d like a second chance to fit in. I have more spare time now the brokerage job placement has fallen through. I now openly acknowledge that I\'m not so smart and just wish some of you regular posters lived nearby so we could play badmington or take the jeep out over the dunes. I\'m stuck with the old Cherokee for off road stuff now as dad took the Hummer back to the dealership to help get me out of the credit loop. It\'s ok though . Mom\'s finding it more difficult to deal with the changes. Cancelling the cruise really hurt her as it was her suprise fiftieth birthday present and we were all booked to go and it was so hard to keep it secret from her. Mom was so excited when dad gave her the boarding pass in a card two weeks ago. He\'s having problems of his own too , the regulators are concerned about some ghost accounts an ex backoffice employee of his was playing the Asian markets with . I believe Dad genuinely didnt know what was happening but I am angry that he concealed the seriousness of our financial position from Mom. To be honest, the atmostphere is frosty up at the main house. They\'ve been arguing. I think Mom might go stay at Aunt Sarah\'s this weekend to cool off . She didnt really pay much notice when I told her about Lucy. I think she\'s a bit traumatised by events. Too much has happened outside of her sphere of control in recent days. A lot of people must be feeling like this at the moment. Have any of you guys really loved someone and then wham! just suddenly lost them? If yes, how long did it take you to get over this? There\'s an open air classical concert in Albany this weekend. Its fall now but the weather is holding out. If anyone is interested I have a spare ticket. Staying over isnt a problem either, I can pickup and drive to Albany and back and there are lots of spare rooms here. I have a great Sci Fi DVD collection and if anyone is really musically minded Rock Band set up on the iMac in the garage. The new drumkit is cool. Anyway, I just think people should reach out to each other more and I am thinking of starting to go to church regularly again on sunday as we got a christian leaflet through the door yesterday and it was uncanny as it almost related exactly what was going wrong in my life and the world and at that moment I really was looking for divine help. This is the first place I have said this, I think I desperately want to be Born Again.

hey kid, if I was still on the east coast, I would definitely be into hanging,

be very wary of christian literature though
you have to realize that it is written specifically for those that feel trapped and overwhelmed by life

Its a pity you no longer live on the East Coast . A lot of my friends or the people I grew up with in Westchester anyway are currently living in the Cambridge /Boston area, including Lucy, studying, so its a bit isolated here but we\'ve decided to defer my studies for a year , I just need time to readjust. As for the Christian literature, no the leaflet I mentioned was more informative in its analysis of current events . It was more a newsletter and the main feature was called \'As We Approach Armageddon\' and it really dissected the reasons behind the current turmoil in the markets and the deep rooted causes why so many people arent connecting in their relationships , with their neighbours and communities or even with themselves .It highlighted entrenched bad Governance, societal and personal, and compared and contrasted this with the Government of the Kingdom of Heaven and the redemption and eternal life open and waiting for everyone who allows Jesus Christ into their lives. I dont believe it was a coincidence that this arrived when it did, literally within minutes of Lucy\'s mom asking me not to phone again. Its definitely changed my view on the Wall Street bailout situation. I'm bailing for Jesus now man, I'm concerned about my Spiritual Finances, I want, no need the living God in my life.

if you\'re trying to make your way through this lonely old world, without community, without friends, and only the memory of your youth, then you might want to stumble into a church, cause you will be welcome, regardless of how sad and sorry your tales of lorn might be, and that\'s the irony, the church is still the one place you can go, when no one else will have you, even if you don\'t believe in heaven or hell, you might want to hear what the christians are preaching about these days, especially if you are open to hearing about prophecies, if you\'ve been out of the loop for a while, you might be surprised at how topical and human so many preachers really are, it\'s all about the broken men and women that feel forsaken and abandoned by everyone.
I even saw a full page ad in the paper today called \"prophecy update\", an event being held at the biggest church in town, and you guessed it, one of the finalists from american idol will be performing during the festivities.

All I\'m really trying to say here is that none of you are as alone as you think.

suspect many of us are more alone than we fear but am strangely reassured by your words and even tempted to venture out to find some temporary sanctuary in a church this afternoon. and yes, we do live in an age where all the worst prophecies appear to be coming true

Age of Prophecy

Its also the Age of the Semi-Famous as self confessed former terrorist Kamal Saleem joins American Idol finalist Chris Sligh at that \'Prophecy Update\' gig . I\'m not sure why those behind the event place so much store in the personal witness and testimony of the Semi-Famous, the truly mediocre seem to be seriously underepresented in Evangelical circles nowadays and I personally find this very uninspiring as this bias works against people like me.
